As a Speech Language Pathologist, all of my students are currently struggling to acquire age-appropriate speaking or listening skills. Many of my students struggle to understand text, classroom instruction, and classroom discussions because their comprehensive language skills are delayed or impaired. Language is the foundation of academics, and students without strong language skills struggle to access education. My mission is to encourage speech and language skills to develop, and most of the time I meet with small groups of students outside of their usual classroom where there are less distractions. I am committed to providing the most effective instruction using relevant, engaging materials that promote world knowledge, academic language, and critical thinking skills.
