We have a "motor play" area in the classroom where students can practice fine and gross motor skills. In this area we currently have a very old trampoline with no handles and the skin peeling off. It would be great to have a new safer trampoline to give the students a movement option when they are exhibiting such self-injurious behaviors as climbing the furniture, banging themselves on the wall, or hitting themselves. Physical activity has proven to help students with various disabilities and without to self-regulate and be ready to learn the material being taught in the classroom.
