STEAM needs Technology to help students flourish. The beauty of STEAM is the diversity of topics that it brings together and how these topics complement each other. Together these topics work together to deepen student understanding and inspire them to reach for the stars. But if one of these topics is neglected it is less effective, so I ask for your help to make sure Technology is not neglected in my classroom.
Technology is meant to enhance the educational process and open windows for students that would have been closed before. With these Kindles, my students will have the tools to take their education to the next level. We will not only be using technology but we will be learning to have technology work for us.
My students will be able to research, create, and share their ideas; taking the ideas further and deepening their learning. In addition to coding and creating, my favorite tool we will utilize with these Kindles is the ability to share our work with the world (under teacher supervision), and show what these students are capable of. They blow me away every day, and I cannot wait to share that with their families, friends, and communities.
