Using our MakerBot Replicator Mini Compact 3D printer, my students will explore past cultures by creating various artifacts and become junior archaeologists. Having the 3D printer will allow my students to continue to explore the 5C's of education: Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Citizenship. With the 3d Printer, "Exploration, Excitement and Enthusiasm," will be the new slogan of my classroom. Through your help, my kids will get a more hands-on approach to history that goes well beyond the black and white lessons of a textbook. I envision kids making a connection between creating historic artifacts and ones of their own that future students will be studying in the years to come!
