All of our students deserve to be exposed to what makes our world go round in this day and age: technology! Our district provides us with books for the kids to learn from, but my students need more. The MacBook laptop will allow my students to use online programs such as MyOn Reader which is designed to target each child's individual literacy needs. It will also allow the students to use MyOn's online activities. MyOn Reader personalizes reading for students by recommending books based on their interests, reading level, and ratings of books they've read. This online component allows struggling readers to choose reading topics they are interested in, which in turn helps students enhance their comprehension in Reading skills.
