The English proficiency of my students is extremely varied. While some of my students are learning the alphabet and simple greetings in English, some of my students are working on reading comprehension and basic writing. My students with a low proficiency level can practice letter and sound recognition. My students who struggle with reading will be able to practice decoding words. The easel can also be used to practice writing creative stories and showing examples. My students will be able to share their ideas and increase their confidence. With a reading and writing easel, I can meet the needs of every student. Because I share a classroom with another ESL teacher, I often times do not have access to the white board. This will ensure that we can both work with our students and get the most out of their learning.
