Understanding and articulating the laws of genetics has always been a topic of interest for students; however, it can be complicated at times. These various genetics kits will bring more hands-on learning into my classroom and will help students make connections to real world human traits and disorders. Students will be able to jump into the role of cytogeneticists, working in a hospital or clinic, as they explore the diagnostic power of karyotyping and chromosome mapping. By providing these hands-on experiences, all students will be able to make stronger connections to the content and will be able to understand how this knowledge directly impacts them.

About my class
