Signing time isn't just for children that are hard of hearing! It has been proven to encourage children with special needs such as Autism or Intellectual disabilities to increase their vocabulary! It would help my students to have visual models and be able to learn so many new ways to communicate. Communication helps reduce the frustration that leads to negative behaviors and violent outbursts! Unfortunately with a school district, affording these "extras" just hasn't been possible and a lot of these great learning tools go unused. Help me, help my students communicate. With signing time, they may be inspired to find their voice, through sign and song.

About my class
