I teacher older students that read at one to two grade levels below their own grade. I would like to have chapter books that are at their reading level and at the interest level for their age. Students come to me at reading levels ranging from E-T this year. That means they range from reading levels appropriate for the First Grade to reading levels appropriate for the end of Fourth Grade. It becomes quite the challenge to meet the individualized needs of the readers and writers in my classroom without seeking outside support.Any type of high interest reading at their own level would help greatly. I would love to be able to also have an audio version of the chapter books for their own homeroom classes. With these leveled books and audio versions the student will be able to build their fluency and confidence in reading on their own.
