What better way to cover every subject area and expose students to quality print material in an otherwise digital world. The articles are brightly colored, on grade level, and teach valuable information in a fun way. Not all of my students have books at home, or even internet access. By having Time For Kids they will be able to have a consumable to take home with them after using it in class and have something to read at home. In this age kids are introduced to digital media long before they can read. Time for Kids is easily adaptable for all learners in my classroom, including ESL, learning support, gifted, life skills and regular education students. Adolescents need to make connections to world issues. The future is in the hands of these young adults, making it important for them to have an awareness and understanding of ecologic and political issues that may shape their world.
