It's all about volleyball season right now! We are full throttle into the season. Practice runs long, games even longer and tears and sweat ever flowing. My girls are working hard to learn to pass, set, spike and volley. These girls work hard. They make practice every day for 2 to 3 hours on top of academics and family responsibilities. Some are also already raising their own children. Yes, in an inner city, our situations are very unique and as the coach, I have to meet these girls halfway. It would benefit them tremendously to have the equipment needed to continue practice at home and show their pride with the team socks. It would also be a huge benefit for them to each have a pair of knee pads. Right now their knees are the color of the night sky, black and blue! Why? Because they are diving, crashing and doing everything to save that ball from hitting the floor. These knee pads will be greatly appreciated and utilized daily. With a long season ahead of us, I am looking to equip my girls with the proper equipment to have a successful and fun season.
