In my classroom, I attempt to immerse my students in inquiry based science activities. I teach 6th grade general science in a 6-8 Middle School. We are in a small community that is residential and provides a limited tax base, making it difficult to fund the laboratory experiences that our frameworks mandate. With the Next Generation Science Standards, our students will be asked to engage in science and engineering practices that will produce problem solvers! My goal is to provide the learning environment that will enable my students to be successful!
