Collaboration is the key to success in school and life after school. By replacing our desks with round tables and chairs, students will have the opportunity to collaborate on a regular basis, sharing new ideas and learning in an environment that resembles what they will experience outside of school. In my English classroom, collaboration sparks new ideas and discussions, so it is always encouraged. As our students prepare for their futures, they need to be able to gather new and exciting information through collaborative learning. I enjoy reading novels, short stories, and excerpts with my students. I love to see students learn new concepts or gather a new perspective on the world around them. I want to teach students that reading is an important skill that will be vital to their success in the future, but that is does not have to be "boring." That is why my classroom is about fun and creativity.
