Put a shimmery sparkle in the eyes of a middle schooler wishing for a graphic novel or work of fiction. Our students are requesting books that we do not have or cannot access. Each book on our list has been requested by students and teachers in our building since the first day of school this year. Students are reading for sixty minutes per day during our English block and homeroom time. They are intrigued by titles they have read and want more of that author or series. Students requesting books are making many follow-up visits hoping we can somehow get them. We have either no copies or one to share with 912 students. Our hold lists are lengthy and we are concerned that students will soon lose interest in the titles, authors, and series, and more importantly reading. Please make a difference by lighting up their lives.
