Have you ever read the book "THE MATH CURSE"? Well, this girl has been "cursed" with math challenges and ruin her day. My students live this curse each day in my math class. We have zero technology and need these Chromebooks to take my basic classroom into the 21st Century. Most do not have technology at home and because to this, my students are falling short to meet the demanding Common Core Standards and PSSA scores. By donating to my classroom, you will allow my students to explore STEM projects, differentiate their instruction through online remediation, and increase their academic achievement in all subjects. Not only are you helping my current students, but all future math students at this school. I can place students into flexible grouping centers and have various programs to help each students need. Think Through Math and Study Island are two intervention programs that increase student math achievement. It has been found that the more time students spend online doing independent learning, their math computation skills improve several levels. In order for this to happen, the school must provide the technology for students. My parents do not have the resources to purchase the technology needed to succeed. I cannot purchase these myself since I have not had a contract or raise in over four years. I put my heart and sole into my classroom, teaching, and my students each day. I want the best for them and their future. Please help us!
