Through funding, my students have shown great interest and success in computer programing and coding using apps like Kodable, Code and lego robotics. This has been so inspirational for me as a teacher to hear my students ask "Can we CODE today?" These coding kits are the next step. Students will be able to take what they have learned on the screen and put it into practice. My principal recently asked "How will you bridge these CODING lessons to real life?". Well, this is how. Students will use CODING skills to build and create away from the computer screen. Using technology has helped motivate my students. With many different disabilities in the classroom, its amazing to see them perk up in their seats when its time to CODE.
