With these various materials, I will be able to provide creative and productive activities to teach social skills and advance students' reading skills. In first grade, students are learning how to be a friend, cooperate with each other, and succeed in a school environment. With these books, I will be able to support student growth through learning about friendship and showing them it's okay to make mistakes. I encourage creativity and cooperation to create a healthy and respectful classroom environment. The books will be on display for easy access and use. The learning tools will help students master their basic literacy requirements. These books will be introduced and read during whole class instruction to relate to our weekly character trait. Activities will go along with the books to reinforce concepts. Students will also be able to access these books for independent and buddy reading.
