Every student learns differently, and in my classroom, I want to encourage each of my students to do what is best for their own learning! This year, I would like to incorporate flexible seating into our classroom. This will give students the opportunity to choose the best spot in the classroom for them to maximize their learning. Exercise balls, bouncy bands for desks, and wobble stools will allow students to wiggle around while not distracting other's, or their own, learning. A comfy rug will give students floor seating and will allow them to spread out if they want! Flexible seating will allow my students to grow academically and in their independence. They will be able to use flexible seating as a personal learning tool to see what works best for them, which will be a valuable skill as they enter middle school. It can also help them get comfortable while reading a great book!
