My students are proficient in language arts and math. Our class needs these STEM materials so that they can learn to explore and become proficient in the skills of the future. STEM education is active and focuses on a student-centered learning environment. I need my students to engage in questioning, problem solving, collaboration, and hands-on activities while they address real life issues. With these activities I can function as a classroom facilitator. I will guide my students through the problem-solving process and plan projects that lead to mastery of content and STEM proficiency. I would like to teach my students to become problem solvers and not just test takers!
