Going green can be costly to your home. Teaching my students how to become greener with their own homes will show their parents they are trying to do their part by learning. We are a high-need community, but I like to think of our students as having green thumbs for knowledge. Our student population is small, so our funds are limited to our needs of our students. In order to grow from a seedling into a tall tree of greatness, we need a little bit of hands-on sunshine, with a touch of classroom watering, and a whole world of loving. Teaching science to my sixth grade students allows me to bring the other parts of our world to the classroom.
