Hi! My name is Lindsay Raya and I work for Chicago Public Schools. I am a special education teacher at Southside Occupational Academy, located on the Southside of Chicago. Our students range from ages 16-21 and all have a disability. Southside Occupational Academy focuses on vocational training to help our students succeed. I currently teach the work training program, where our students are volunteering within the community. Our students are able to work on vocational, independent living, social and transitional skills in order to prepare them for life after high school.
