I have asked for basic materials for students to use in the classroom. Students will need posters, markers, and scissors for projects that will build on collaboration skills. Post it notes will be used as do now and exit slip activities. In addition, I added a chair set for flexible seating. Students will have the ability to stand at that table or sit in the higher chairs to meet their learning needs. Adding the flexible seating is a key component of my project because I believe that the individual needs of students should be met in my classroom. The supplies will make sure that students are offered an environment where they are given all the necessary supplies to be a successful student in East Oakland. The supplies will make sure that students are not losing out on opportunities to learn due to a lack of supplies. My amazing students deserve the best education and these supplies will support them!
