Students will use this iPad and headphones to listen and read books. Students will also use this device to access rich apps that can complement what they are learning in reading and in math. Eventually, I would like to allow students to create and publish writing pieces using iBooks. The iPad is such a valuable tool because as software and apps change, the device will continue to be useful in the classroom. Initially, my first graders will use this iPad and the headphones for listening. Eventually, I am excited about teaching my students to be creators of content! It is so important for students to understand that everyone can be a reader, and a writer!
