My students and I spend a majority of our time together in small groups and they love the idea of being comfortable and still having the ability to move. I use the time we spend at small groups as an opportunity to individualize instruction for each student. I think the use of these chairs will allow freedom for each individual child. These chairs will be a huge benefit to my classroom. The best thing about these chairs is they will be able to move while they are learning. It is very difficult for 2nd graders to sit still for a long period of time. The Hokki stool allows students to wiggle around as needed so that they can stay focused on the activity we are doing. They are very excited about the chance to use these stools in group time.
