My 2nd graders are a rambunctious and enthusiastic group of kids! Unfortunately, many of them come from homes that live under the poverty line. This affects their home life, their school life, and their exposure to things that are different from their "norm." They are not used to having the opportunity to interact with 21st century technology and fine-tune their skills. My students are asked to put a lot of their time and effort into the core subjects (Math and ELA) that Science often gets left to the side. They have not had the opportunity to discover how exciting Science can be, and it's my mission to change that!
