My students are wobblers! They are 7 and 8 years old and on the move! They learn best when they can wiggle and wobble when they do their best thinking. Sitting in rigid blue chairs isn't allowing my students to capitalize on their potential. They all want to sit on the one wobble stool we have. Ideally, a class of wobble stools would do wonders in my room! Some kids need to be in motion to concentrate. Engaging their body helps them retain information better and work out cognitive problems. It's recently been shown that kids with ADHD actually learn better while they are moving. My students are smart thinkers but they are wiggly and wobbly and do better with the flexibility to move around!
