Giving students choice in their learning gives them ownership over their future. My students need an iPad Mini with a case to be able to connect with the world in new ways and build early literacy and technological skills. With thousands of free educational apps, the iPad Mini has the greatest potential in the classroom setting. There are educational apps that help students who are struggling with reading or other subjects, not only to catch up to current grade level, but exceed grade level ability. An iPad helps students who are kinesthetic and visual learners open up the doors of education and individualize their learning experiences. The iPad will become a tool that will help create more authentic learning experiences in the classroom. My students will be able to work in centers with the iPad doing a number of activities to create both independent and collaborative projects in order to show true understanding of concepts.
