Teaching Elementary students computer concepts and STEM is a crucial part of their learning day; however, as a Healthy & Fit School, my students do not have the room to move and be active during their time in my classroom. Technology is a wonderful tool, especially for 21st Century learning; unfortunately, it usually comes with the stigma of promoting inactivity and unhealthy, sedentary lifestyles in early childhood/early adulthood. I would like to incorporate more Whole Brain/Whole Body Learning in my classroom by providing my students with Active Learning Stools to help increase their movement and memory. Instead of sitting in their usual plastic chairs, I would love to provide my students with the opportunity to be active while they're "sitting" at the computer. These stools not only calm the wiggles, but will aid in self-control, improve their posture, and help develop and work their trunk/core.
