The donations for this project will improve my classroom by reducing the amount of behavioral issues, because I will be able to provide the appropriate stimulation that my students need. Six year old children have a physical need to move and fidget.Sitting at a desk for several hours a day in a seat where your feet don;t reach the floor makes it extremely difficult for my students to focus on their learning. Much instructional time is lost due to fidgeting, getting out of the seat to move around or standing and keeling on chairs to get comfortable. This is distracting to the student, their classmates, and me! If the students had a variety of seating options. with clearly defined procedures for their use, classroom behavioral distractions would be reduced and learning outcomes increased.
