Flexible seating gives students the ability to make responsible decisions while allowing the comfortability of their chosen workspace. During independent work time, students will be given the opportunity to choose a workspace that best fits their needs. Currently, the only options our students have are their desks, floor or under their desk with a clipboard, and a few chairs I have purchased. Although the current options are minimal I see a difference in their work ability when given a choice as to where they would like to work. With my students in control of their flexible seating, they are more engaged, make better choices, and complete their work. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools allow students to sit at a ​desk or tables but will still allow some movement. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed! The comfy floor seats and floor cushions will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. Many students also enjoy the option to stand and work and they will be able to do so with the standing desk options. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
