My students are hands-on learners who require a multi-faceted approach to learning. In a classroom with multiple grade levels, multiple levels of learners,and multiple needs, being able to use hands-on and adaptable activities to teach, show, and allow for exploration is vital! As my students work toward our common core objectives, I am eager to find activities that fit and work for my students. The items chosen for this project are all relating to the parts of the science curriculum that my students are working on as part of the common core testing. These activities, like the Smart Board package and the models of life cycles, will allow my students to experience the science of the world around them in a hands on manner. Items such as the workbooks that I have chosen will allow me to adapt materials and activities to meet the academic levels of my students. The giant life-cycle activities will make amazing work samples for Alternate Assessments! Please help me give my students activities and materials that will allow them to not only better understand the science of the world around them, but also to become fascinated by it!
