If you flipped a coin 99 times and got heads each time, are you more likely to get heads or tails on the 100th flip? You wouldn't believe how many people answer this question differently and feel very strongly about it! On that 100th flip, you are equally likely to get heads or tails- and this is something that is really tough to believe at first, especially until you try your own experiment. These supplies will help students see with their own eyes what happens in probability situations. One of our most fun units is all about probability. There are so many properties of probability that are fascinating and sometimes counterintuitive. With your help, students will be able to try their own experiments and record results so they can really see for themselves how probability works.
