I try to give my First Grade students many opportunities to connect to their Google Drive Account and also practice their keyboarding skills. However, recently my 5 classroom Chromebooks won't update and our school district stopped offering support with fixing them. My students no longer have classroom computers in which they can connect to their Google Drive accounts and practice their keyboarding. As part of my classroom jobs, my students have been assigned specific duties to take notes. For example- the lead Scientist is in charge of taking Science Investigation lab notes on Google Drive. The students love doing these jobs. I need some new classroom computers in order to continue this work with my students. My students ask me many times every day, "when will we be able to use the computers again?' I don't have the heart to tell them that we won't ever be able to use the classroom computers again!
