An iZiggi document camera is an effective tool for modeling tasks that students are expected to do in the English Language Arts classroom. With this powerful tool my students will be able to better engage in the lessons I am teaching them. When I teach students how to write I model the process using my own examples so the students can see what effective writers do and how they think as they work. With this essential piece of technology students can see first hand what it looks like to go through the writing process by seeing a projected image on our whiteboard of what I am doing in real time. The iZiggi allows for smoother transitions between brainstorming materials and writing pieces. By offering this technology to my students you will be helping them become more effective, creative, and confident writers.
