I want to keep my kids curious and to nurture that in a civics classroom means being able to share all information with them and have them figure out how to find their own information. Tablets are easy and mainstream enough to complete the basic tasks of research. It is hard in urban classrooms to gain access to computers and in this day and age it is utterly ridiculous that all schools aren't 1 to 1 yet. I allow students to use their phones for research however some kids have parents that do discipline and take their phones. Help me help them. Help me teach them how to properly and responsibly research. Help me teach them the good sites and the not so good sites. Help me teach them how to figure out what is actually #fakenews. Together we will create a woke society!
