A year-long subscription to Scholastic News will allow my students to read about and discuss current events. With your generous donation, students will gain access to rich non-fiction texts which directly relate to our curriculum and learning standards. Students will have the opportunity to develop their reading skills and higher-order thinking skills. A copy for every student means that we can read together as a class, and students can take each issue home to discuss the news with their friends and families. Reading the news will help all students (regardless of their reading level) become more informed citizens and empower them to express their opinions on a variety of different issues.

About my class
