I work with a group of amazing kids with differentiated learning styles. Many of my students struggle with maintaining focus in a traditional classroom setting. We began researching flexible seating options that would allow for my students to move or find alternative working spaces while they learn. During our research, we found that standing at your desk raises your expenditure by 30%.
My students are struggling to demonstrate their true academic abilities due to a lack of ability to focus in traditional learning environments. These materials will allow for my students to get their sensory needs met during their learning instead of having to remove them from their learning to fulfill those needs. They find it very difficult to meet academic and sensory needs at the same time without intervention techniques and tools. I've tried variations of the stand up desk and imagination cube that I've requested and have found that my students are more focused, happy, and have made great strides academically if they are able to have those tools during their learning. ADHD students struggle with focusing due to their physical distractions and these tools enable them to reach their full potential.
