Reading is a fundamental skill necessary for all students to progress through school. If students cannot read, they cannot interact with other contents. Dictionaries are an important component for any subject area. Picture dictionaries are fun and engaging for students of any age. Using dictionaries is also an important skill for all students to learn. Why not start in kindergarten where they are most influential? There's nothing like holding your own book in your lap, turning the pages, and learning something new from each page. By having dictionaries at my students' reading levels, we can help them build their vocabulary.
