The Osmo kit that am requesting will allow me to integrate computer-based literacy and math programs right into my small-group instruction. Right now, my students have access to a computer about twice a week in our computer lab. However, in their world, they are surrounded by technology every day. Without a tablet in our classroom, my students are missing out on using great online resources that support our reading and math curriculum. Students can work on remedial skills, while others can work on enrichment activities. Having a tablet in my classroom would really allow me to do so many new things with my students and engagement would really soar in my classroom!
