Many students have difficulty understanding the attributes of three-dimensional shapes on paper. They are typically unable to compose or decompose these shapes without any hands-on exploration of the faces, edges, and vertices. Having a strong foundation in Geometry will help my students later in life. Fields ranging from architecture, landscaping, construction, and more, require proficient skills in spatial visualization and orientation. These building sets will provide my students with the hands-on experiences they need to develop spatial awareness. They will also have a significant impact on my students' understanding of the relationship between two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional solids. Concrete building materials will make will bring these abstract concepts to life.
