By using ten frame boards my students will be able to represent different ways to demonstrate knowledge of numbers. We will be meeting the Common Core standards, in which students will be able to show number comprehension by using ten frame boards. Students will also have an opportunity to collaborate with their partners and work together during math time. I have my students sit on the carpet during math time and think, pair and share. Having ten frame boards will help them visualize how numbers can be represented. My students will be able to master their numbers because they will be able to utilize ten frame boards as manipulatives. By donating ten frame boards you will help my students learn their numbers. We have a library in our classroom, however we don't have a bookshelf. The reading books are in boxes and it is very difficult to keep it organized. It is crucial for my students to have easy access to their classroom library, so that they will learn how to place a book back on the shelf as they do in the school library and other libraries. By donating a bookshelf you will provide a reading area for my kindergarteners.
