Hi, I am a middle school library media specialist in a Title I school in a suburb south of Atlanta. Approximately 45% of our students are considered economically disadvantaged. Forty six percent of our students are reading below grade level proficiency. Five percent of our students have limited English proficiency skills. Our school goal this year is to increase the number of students reading below grade level proficiency by 15%. To support our school-wide goal, my objective is to increase the number of low-level, high-interest books we have available to our students. I also want to increase the number of audio books we have available to our non-english speaking students.
