What does it take to have an engaged middle school child in the classroom? What does it take for a middle school child to respond with the answer "YES!" when asked if they like school? The answer to both of those questions is simple...relationships. Relationships with their peers, their teachers, and all members of the school community. Our jobs this year have been severely impacted by the lack of relationship building between peers. The proper mindset for learning to take place is critical. Social-emotional growth is a primary component of middle school education and that growth takes place during the unstructured periods during the day. If we want kids to work, they have to be able to play. I want to provide equipment that will allow my students to have fun and enjoy good sportsmanship. Help me give my students equipment for exercise fun by providing soccer goals for recess and incentive free time.
