The students in my classroom are often times at a disadvantage when it comes to resources, experiences, technological support and assistance they receive outside of the classroom. Providing them with engaging, effective, visual, audio, and hands-on learning is necessary. Tablets provide the possibility for structured and modeled group as well as self-driven independent learning opportunities. The access to a tablet within the classroom would be such a valuable tool for students to help build upon their knowledge of the world around them while also providing so many excellent one-on-one learning ideas. Technology is such a large and important part of the world today and most of my students have little to no access to this type of support.
