These books will inspire my students to be persistent in both their learning and in their lives. I will use the books to read aloud and provoke higher order thinking in my students. Students will learn how different characters overcome adversity and how they grow from their experiences. I hope that my students will internalize these character traits and apply them both in school and life. Students will have the opportunity to discuss the various character traits that they see within themselves. This will be part of our ongoing reading aloud series done in the classroom. Students will have the opportunity to report out their findings on the characters and themselves.
