Osmo is an award-winning game system that transforms an iPad into an interactive classroom accessory able to add a level of excitement that engages students in the learning process. Osmo will change the way my students interacts with the iPad by opening it up to hands-on play. Osmo fosters learning in key areas such as: creative problem solving, art, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and common core. Osmo is made of a vertical base for the iPad, and a reflective mirror that sits in front of the camera. These two unassuming accessories work together to change the physical space in front of the iPad into an area of active engagement that interact with a number of iPad apps made for Osmo. The coding set fosters logic and problem solving skills. The tangram set fosters spatial relational skills. The words set engages students in spelling and critical thinking skills. The numbers set teaches skills such as counting, addition, and multiplication.
