We all want our children to aspire to be lifelong learners who reach for the stars! A big step in becoming just that is learning to love reading. Think of your favorite spot to read a book, the spot where you like to go and curl up for 30 minutes or more and become entrenched in a story or learn new information... The place that you imagined probably was not on hard metal chairs with tile flooring. Comfortable furniture, I'll argue, is essential in creating the type of environment where reading is viewed not as a chore, but rather as a vehicle for fun. Please consider donating to help our students be able to dive in to this culture, not just in 4th grade, but for years to come!
