This versatile easel will help me with reading, writing and displaying. When reading a "Big Book" to the class I will now have a place to display it. The students will be able to see it, and they will be able to model how we read while watching me track the print. I will also be able to Write 'The Morning Message" This helps students read familiar sight words, and they also get to practice their fine motor skills, and manual dexterity by finding our words of the day. I will also use magnetic letters so students can have ownership while making their own words that have been taught. I also really need the washable makers for me to model writing, and for the students to be able to begin the writing process on the easel. Whole group instruction is so important before individual instruction can be mastered. I want my students to feel special about their reading and writing. This easel and the makers will give them autonomy and ownership of what they accomplish.
