Having new laptop computers in my classroom will extend student learning by providing students with access to social studies resources on the internet. Many of my students do not have access to technology at home and laptops in the classroom will give them learning opportunities they would not otherwise have. My students are very inquisitive and ask topic extended questions daily. New laptops will allow students to do their own research on topics which are vaguely covered in the textbook. This inquiry learning will give students ownership and excitement about their learning. Also, students will be able to share their learning with power point presentations that they create on the new laptops. This will give students even more excitement about their successful learning experiences!
