My students come from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. They need every resource possible to be able to be successful in their academic and personal lives. I model many of Ron Clark's beliefs in my classroom, and work hard to make learning fun. Lack of resources hinders my ability to teach these children in a way that they deserve.In order to create an engaging environment, it takes materials to make the classroom a bit different from time to time. Creating a scene that revolves around the content they will be learning brings the magic that will stick with them. These students have state tests they have to take several times a year, and these experiences will motivate them to learn and retain that information during testing. As their teacher, I would be beyond grateful as well to have these items for many more students to come!
